FACEBOOK BRAND STORY

Happily Ever After No-Kill Shelter is devoted to saving animals like these from shelters that would end up having to euthanize them due to overcrowding or other reasons. Shelters that euthanize less than 10% of their animals can still consider themselves as “no-kill” shelters, and HEA is devoted to saving ALL animals, even that 10% that some other shelters consider unadoptable. Here are two animals and their stories how they got involved with HEA:

The cat on the left, Lucy, was an older cat who had some behavioral problems and was put on a list to be euthanized at a shelter local to HEA. The shelter reached out to us and asked if we were able to take her, and thus, we adopted her into our agency because we know cats like her just need a loving environment to thrive in. Since we were unable to adopt her out to a regular family home, we keep her at one of our cat condos, where Lucy gets along with numerous other cats. Her overall behavior since at being at HEA has changed dramatically for the better, however, HEA will be her forever home since she is used to the schedule that we can provide for her. Lucy is a sweet, loving cat who enjoys a long cuddle, and she can be visited at our facilities!

The dog on the right, Bowie, is a puppy that a shelter couldn’t accept because he was so young. He’s a beautiful young dog with a bright personality to boot! He was brought to us at an incredibly young age, needing constant attention as a puppy. HEA did meet some struggles along the way since he was malnourished in the beginning, but we devoted our time and energy to nourishing him and providing the best care we can for him. He is now a handsome young dog currently being fostered by a family with HEA!

We are devoted to saving animals like these because 100% of animals deserve a wonderful life – we aim to save the 10% from shelters because all animals deserve a chance at their own Happily Ever After!

INSTAGRAM BRAND STORY

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szRo7Ma_Ais&feature=youtu.be

In 2006, our founder was a college student, that learned half of sheltered dogs and cats lose their lives. Amanda Reitz was persistent on saving each and every one. She dreamed of a refuge for any pets in need of a loving and warm home. That vision became reality when she found the first rescue in the woods. Fast forward to 2020, we have saved and re-homed countless animals in the Greater Green Bay area. This is Zeva, a Terrier mix that was abandoned by her owners but rescued by the Happily Ever After Animal Sanctuary located in Marion. She loves cuddle time and she is great with basic commands.  Visit our website to learn more about Zeva and the other loveable cats and dogs at HEA!
